Press Release: CVUSD Appoints Nicholas McMaster as Director of Student Services

Mr. McMaster has worked in CVUSD since 2009. He began working as a Mathematics Teacher at Castro Valley High School (CVHS) and moved up to be the Assistant Principal of CVHS in 2015. His time in CVUSD actually began much earlier as he attended elementary, middle and high school in Castro Valley.

Mr. McMaster has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University East Bay and a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning in a Global Society from National University.  He brings a great deal of experience to this new role as well as a passion and commitment to Castro Valley Unified and the community.  We are very excited to have Nicholas in this new position.

Mr. McMaster’s commitment to CVUSD’s mission to support all students to reach their full potential has been evident throughout his career. We are fortunate to have him as the Director of Student Services for the Castro Valley Unified School District,” Superintendent Ahmadi said.  

The District will begin the hiring process to replace Mr. McMaster as the Assistant Principal for Castro Valley High School immediately.
