Chabot Elementary School parents are incredibly active and amazing! Parent involvement can be placed into three main categories: Leadership, Fund Raising, and Fun Raising.
-
Parents help to guide and support our school through membership in school leadership committees such as School Site Council (SSC) and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). Parents are also involved as classroom volunteers and chaperones.
-
The Chabot Parents Club ensures that our students have ample access to necessary and supplementary resources through concentrated fundraising efforts. They have raised funds to enhance a variety of programs on campus through an online auction, Chabot Tigerthon, the annual membership drive, and other fun activities.
-
Parents help build community and enrich the elementary experience through “Fun”-raising events such as:
- Shriek-a-Rama (annual Halloween event)
- Chabot Multicultural Night
- Bingo Night
- Family Dance
- Scholastic Book Fairs
- Tigerthon (annual walk-a-thon)

Volunteer at our Chabot Library! Read to a class, check books in and / or out, shelve books, decorate a wall and more. Your child will just love you being there. So many choices! Check with your child's teacher for volunteer opportunities or with our school librarian. Julia Newlin at julia.newlin@cv.k12.ca.us
